The author of The Certainty of Uncertainty is Mark Schaefer. Mark is an attorney, author, professional wordsmith, language scholar, and pastor, formerly serving in local church and campus contexts, where he also taught as an adjunct professor of religion.
Work and Education
He earned his B.A. and M.A. in Russian Language and Literature from the State University of New York at Albany. He is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and is admitted to the practice of law as an attorney in New York State and the District of Columbia. Mark practiced law in the District of Columbia for five years before returning to school to earn a master’s of divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary.
Teaching
Mark has taught courses as an adjunct professor in Christianity, New Testament, Religion and Social Justice, and The Religious Heritage of the West, as well as courses in Biblical Greek, Greek Exegesis, New Testament, and Russian language.
